High Availability, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our team in Audubon, PA office.

High Availability, Inc. is a systems integrator and managed service provider responsible for implementing, monitoring, managing, and maintaining multiple clients’ IT environments. We are currently looking to hire a mid-level Network Engineer to join the network engineering team in our managed cloud services division. Job Summary:

This position will provide network engineering support to clients of High Availability, Inc., while operating a variety of on-premise and cloud-based network technologies. As a mid-level Network Engineer, you will primarily be responsible for responding to device and client generated support tickets. These range from service requests (move, add, change, delete) to troubleshooting and break/fix tickets. Additional duties may include assisting with the network specific components of client onboardings and disaster recovery tests.


Job Responsibilities:

  • 80% ticket-based service requests and break/fix
  • 20% other activities (onboarding clients, assisting with DR tests, infrastructure planning, etc.)
  • Part of team on-call rotation, one week per month



Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a network engineer role, preferably in a managed service provider environment
  • Prior help desk support and/or customer service experience
  • Working experience with TCP/IP route/switch technologies
  • Working experience with network security technologies such as firewalls, routers, and VPNs including Cisco, Palo, and FortiGate firewall products


Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic understanding of operating system network administration (Windows, Linux, vSphere)
  • History of clean and consistent network racking, cabling, and labeling practices
  • History of creating and maintaining robust network documentation (diagrams, port maps, etc.)
  • Excellent logical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to contribute to a team as part of an on-call rotation
  • Ability to lift objects up to 50lbs
  • The following are not required but a plus:
    • Experience with formal change control process or ITIL (or similar) service delivery framework
    • Industry vendor certifications (Cisco, Palo, FortiGate, etc.)
    • Experience with Cisco UCS hardware
    • Experience with NAC products (ISE)
    • Experience with VMware vSphere
    • Experience with PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages
